CHOLE BHATURE#Punjabi Dish that Touch Your Heart

Chhole Bhature


For chhole

Chickpeas 1 cup

Chopped onion 2 medium size

Ginger paste 1 tsp

Garlic paste 3-4 cloves

Tea leaf soaked water 1 cup

Cumin seeds 2 tsp

Coriander seeds 2 tsp

Cumin powder 1 tsp

Coriander powder 1 tsp

Chili powder 1 tsp

Chopped green chili 1 tsp

Turmaric 1 tsp

Tarmarind palp 1 tsp

Chopped tomato 2 large size

Ghee 3-4 tsp

Salt To taste

Ingredients for making chana spices

Cumin seeds 2 tsp

Coriander seeds 1 tsp

Cinnamon 1 stick

Cloves 3-4

Black pepper corns 1 tsp

Black cardamom 4

Green cardamom 5

Bay leaf 1

Red chili 2-3

Pomegranate ½ tsp

**All these ingredients should be fried without oil & grind well**

Ingredients for making Bhature

Regined flour 2 cup

Milk ½ cup

Yogurt ½ cup

Sugar 1 tsp

Beking powder ¼ tsp

Salt ½ tsp


For bhature

1.Take flour in a bowl and mix it well with yogurt, sugar, salt and baking powder.

2.Knead the dough with a little milk and cover for 1 hour with a damp cloth.

3.Open the lid and knead again.Cut the lentils a little bigger. Roll a big round shape and fry . Bhature is ready.

For chhole

1.pressure cook chickpeas until 4-5 whistle.

2.Put ghee in the pan. When it starts to melt, add coriander seeds and cumin seeds.then add chopped onion.
