Deviled eggs also known as stuffed eggs, Russian eggs, or dressed eggs, are hard-boiled chicken eggs that have been shelled, cut in half, and filled with a paste made from many ingredients . They are generally served cold as a side dish, appetizer or a main course, often for holidays or parties. The dish's origin can be seen in recipes for boiled, seasoned eggs as far back as ancient Rome, where they were traditionally served as a first course.The dish is popular in Europe and in North America.

Cooking time - 30 minute

Serve - 4


Ingredients -

For potato filling -


4 nos Medium size potatoes

2 tsp Vegetable oil

½ cup Chopped onion

1 tsp Ginger & garlic grated

1 tsp Chopped green chilies

½ tsp Turmeric powder

1 tsp Roasted cumin powder

⅓ tsp Garam Masala Powder

Salt to taste


For the batter -


1 Egg lightly beaten

4 tsp Refined flour

4 tsp Cornflour

½ tsp Blackpepper powder

½ tsp Salt


Other ingredients -


4 nos Hard boiled eggs

½ cup Refined flour

2 cups Bread crumbs

Oil for deep fry


Procedure -

Making potato filling -


1.Take the potatoes, peel them and boil. Let the potatoes to cool down, and mash them. Make sure there is no lumps.

2. Now heat oil in a pan, add chopped onion, ginger garlic, green chilies and fry till become light golden in colour.
