Fish Chop is a delicious Bengali style fish croquettes that are usually served as a starter at parties. This recipe can also be served as snacks.

Preparation time - 30 minute

Serve - 6

Ingredients : -

3 pieces Katla fish piece

½ cup Boil potato

2 tsp Chopped onion

½ tsp Ginger paste

½ tsp Garlic paste

1 tsp Chopped green chili

1 tsp Chopped tomato

½ tsp Coriander powder

½ tsp Cumin powder

1 tsp Lemon juice

1 Egg

4 tsp Refined flour

½ tsp Black pepper powder

1 cup Bread crumbs

Salt, sugar to taste and refine oil for frying

* Boil and mash fish piece and potatoes *

Procedure :-

1.Take a little oil in a pan. When hot, add chopped onion in it and fry till light red.

2.Stir in the ginger and garlic paste for a while and cook with the tomato paste until the tomatoes are soft.

3.Chilli powder, coriander - cumin powder, season with a little water.

4.When the oil starts to come out from the spices, stir in the mashed potatoes and fish paste, salt and sugar to taste for about 2 minutes, over medium heat.

5. After 2 minutes, take it off the gas and let it cool down.

6.Before making the chop, rub it once with lemon juice and shape it into small chops.

7.Beat the eggs in a bowl with a little salt, mix the flour and pepper powder on another plate, and take the bread crumbs on another plate.

8.Take one chop, first coat it with flour and then dip it in the egg mixture. Coat in bread crumbs and deep fry in deep oil and serve hot.
