Tandoori chicken with Yellow Rice


For the chicken

Boneless chicken 6-7 piece

Yogurt ½ cup

Red chili powder 1 tsp

Cumin powder 1 tsp

Tandoori masala 1 tsp

Lemon juice 1 tsp

Ginger - garlic paste 1 tsp

Butter 3-4 piece

Salt to taste


  • Marinate the chicken with all the ingredients for about 1 hour.

  • Put butter in the grill pan. When it starts to melt, fry the two backs with the chicken on low heat. When the chicken starts to turn brown, take it down.

  • Place the chickens in a large pot, heat the charcoal and keep it in small bowl in the same pot.

  • Add ghee / butter on the charcoal. When the smoke starts to rice, cover for 1 minute. Tandoori chicken made.


For the rice-

Basmati rice/ regular rice 1 cup

Bay leaf 1

Cloves 2-3

Cardamom 1

Water 1.½ cup

Saffron ½ tsp

Chopped red bell paper 1 tsp

Chopped green bell paper 1 tsp

Cumin powder 1 tsp

Salt to taste


  • Soak saffron in hot water .

  • In a pot , take the required amount of water, heat it lightly with bay leaves, cloves, cardamom and salt to taste.

  • When the water starts to boil, boil about 80% with rice and let the water drip.

  • Put oil / butter in a pan. When it starts to melt, add red and green bell paper.
